Sunday night's BET Awards was one of the show's best iterations in years. Performers included Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Young Thug, Future, Bryson Tiller, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana, & Anderson. Paak -- and that doesn't even include any of the Prince tributes, which were bountiful and glorious. Sadly, the scheduled D'Angelo Prince tribute never came to pass. Otherwise, the show was nearly flawless.

While it was initially reported that Remy Ma had been released from prison yesterday, contradictory reports rolled in shortly thereafter. It was said that due to a phonecall violation Ma recently committed (which may or may not have something to do with the interview she did with Angie Martinez last week), she had spent her final week in solitary confinement, and may not be released for another 7 days.

Summer’s officially here, so expect things to keep picking up in the rap game— we’ve got a ScHoolboy Q album, SremmLife 2, and a bunch of other heat on the way. On the top tracks side of things, there was quite a bit of turnover in our list this week, with only the bottom and top tracks from the last edition making return appearances.

Papoose and Remy Ma are finally back together, after Remy's prison stint came to an end last summer. In addition to working on new music individually, the two are making some joint moves. Namely, they've signed up to appear on the sixth season of the reality TV show "Love & Hip-Hop." They announced the new venture on Instagram, as seen below. The VH1 show as seen its fair share of drama (some possibly scripted, some not), so we'll have to see how Remy and Pap play into it. No word on who else will be joining the cast for season six, so stay tuned.
