ScHoolboy Q Celebrates His Birthday By "Bumpin" His New Album
ScHoolboy Q has been teasing a new album now and again on Twitter throughout the year, but he never gives away too much info. Today was no different, as Q posted on Instagram, letting fans know he was 'bumpin' his new album to celebrate "H day," otherwise known as his own birthday.
ScHoolboy Q Says He's Dropping His Album "After Jay Rock" On Twitter
ScHoolboy Q has been uncharacteristically quiet since the release of his debut physical album, Oxymoron, last year, surprisingly not even making an appearance on Kendrick Lamar's recent album, To Pimp A Butterfly. The lack of features we've heard from Q may have something to do with his focus on a follow-up LP, which he briefly spoke on in a Twitter Q&A today.
TDE Boss Thinks Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly" Will Sell One Million In A Week
We just got the tracklist for Kendrick Lamar's upcoming album, To Pimp a Butterfly, which will be released on March 23. With the singles "i" and "The Blacker the Berry" already out, expectations will be sky-high for Kendrick's third album, and none higher than those of TDE boss Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith. Ab-Soul: "This Bench Is Getting Warm As Fuck"
Top Dawg Entertainment’s stable of emcees is one of the best in the game. However, it can be tough to keep everyone happy with so many mouths to feed, so to speak. Ab-Soul is the only artist of the bunch who hasn’t released a critically-acclaimed and widely promoted album. His last project, These Days… came out after ScHoolboy Q’s widely popular Oxymoron but it didn’t receive nearly same amount of promotion. The same goes for Jay Rock’s 90059 and any of Kendrick Lamar’s albums.

Kendrick Lamar Prank Calls Jay Rock
During his appearance on Power 106's "The Lift Off," Jay Rock received a flattering on-air call from a female fan who wanted to let him know that she loved ("looooved") the album. Jay Rock was taken aback but played it smooth, "Man, I appreciate that, baby." The caller let Rock know that she likes 'em "tall, dark, and handsome" and asked for his digits. Jay Rock laughed it off. "You know I don’t give my number out on-air,” he said. “Hit me up on Tinder.”
Review: Jay Rock's "90059"
Would you believe that Jay Rock has been signed to Top Dawg Entertainment for ten years? They say Rome wasn’t built in a day, and apparently TDE wasn’t either, because Anthony Tiffith and his group of MCs have been hacking at this hip hop thing for a while now.

Ab-Soul and Jay Rock aren't lame duck emcees either and can tango with any of your favorite rappers. With the burgeoning development of Isaiah Rashad and SZA, TDE looks to stay on top for years to come.

Top Dawg Entertainment's CEO Speaks Out On Label, Signing Kendrick Lamar & More
Top Dawg seems to be the independent label that's next up, with four rising rappers who all have their own niche in the rap market. The man who gave these four Black Hippy members a record deal, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, has remained relatively quiet while Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock all make a name for themselves, and thus put Top Dawg Entertainment on the map.
