T-Pain Recalls Lil Wayne & Birdman's Insane Bets On Simulated Madden Games
T-Pain Recalls Lil Wayne & Birdman's Insane Bets On Simulated Madden Games May 25, 2016 at 05:43pm
As we've seen from many of his interviews, T-Pain is a hilarious dude who knows how to tell a story, and there's probably no one better to reveal Lil Wayne and Birdman's ridiculous gambling practices to the world. While Pain was participating in a Twitch live stream as he played Doom earlier this week, he decided to share a hilarious anecdote from his time spent recording with Wayne. According to the singer, Weezy and Birdman (who were on good terms at the time), would bet $10,000 on video game matches in Madden. If that's not insane enough -- they weren't even playing!

This past week, we were finally able to take a deep breath and reflect on all of the major projects we've heard in the past month -- A$AP Ferg, Bankroll Mafia, Beyoncé, Drake, Skepta, Rittz, Chance The Rapper, and Post Malone have all dropped full-lengths in that relatively brief timespan. It would appear that the summer's first burst of high-profile albums has subsided, but as we await projects from Travi$ Scott, YG, ScHoolboy Q, and others, at least guys like The Underachievers and Casey Veggies have given us something new to chew on.

Before everyone’s smartphones were on the level personal computers, people would buy separate GPS devices to direct them. You could pay a small amount of money to change the voice on the device from the typical female robot to things like Yoda or Indiana Jones, and people ate that shit up. Fast forward to 2016, and the very useful GPS/traffic app Waze has tapped T-Pain as an exclusive voice.

Friday, need I say more? It's been a pretty tame Friday new-music-wise, but our homie Tory Lanez shook things up with the premiere of his A$AP Ferg collaboration "Line Up The Flex." While some focus on a potential diss to Drake, we're focusing on just how great this record will be for the Friday turn-up. Do yourself a favor and add it to your playlist, or, you can totally use our playlist and just call it your own.

The Best Super Bowl Commercials Starring Rappers
The Best Super Bowl Commercials Starring Rappers Feb 6, 2016 at 09:17pm
Over its 50 year lifespan, the NFL's championship game has done a better job than any other sporting event of attracting viewers who have little to no interest in the sport. Gratuitous halftime shows starring some of the biggest musicians in the world is certainly one draw for non-fans, but the game has also become the biggest day of the year for advertisers in the US, for once making the many commercial breaks actually enjoyable to the viewer. Budgets are huge, humor is a must, and high-profile cameos are almost a certainty at this point.

T-Pain's "The Iron Way" Review Apr 1, 2015 at 12:46pm
T-Pain dropped his new mixtape at the end of last week. After keeping busy with three mixtapes and four studio records in less than a decade, T-Pain went dark with no releases since 2012, until now.  After filling up the interim with featured roles on tracks by basically every big name out there, and even taking a detour to quiet haters by putting his musical prowess on display in an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, The Iron Way marks the Florida born musician's true return.
