Pusha T certainly has a history of sneak-dissing Lil Wayne. So when he made a comment that could easily be read as a shot at Dedication 5, Young Money rapper Jae Millz stepped in to call him out on it.

It appears Pusha T has done the unthinkable. After years of harassment, the former Clipse member decided to finally cut off his signature braids. Taking to his IG earlier Monday, Pusha T  posted a photo of himself receiving a $2500 dollar facial in Hong Kong with the caption “Just cut  my braids off”. Unfortuantely, we don’t get to see the new look, but we’re dying to that’s for sure.

Although he’s been in the rap game since the early '90s, Pusha T had yet to release a studio solo album. Until now. As one-half of the Clipse with his brother (now) No Malice, Push saw his popularity rise with their hit single “Grindin.”  Three albums and 16 years later, Push, real name Terrence Thornton and his brother parted ways musically to work on their solo careers.

We were pretty shocked earlier this week when long-silent G.O.O.D. Music MC CyHi The Prynce let loose a fiery track called "Elephant in The Room" and effectively announced his departure from the label. In a series of new tweets, he took the time to clarify some points he was making on the song, including the fact that he doesn't consider it a Kanye West diss. Read those tweets below.

This week's numbers are in, some more impressive than others. Pusha T's long-awaited debut, My Name Is My Name came in just under expectations, but still managed to put some "Numbers On The Boards" with 74,610 units, though unfortunately not enough to edge Drake out of the number 3 spot.

Of the many things that old heads will insist "were better back in the day," diss tracks are among the few that most younger rap fans can also agree upon. Even if you didn't live through them, the 2Pac / Biggie, Eazy-E / Dr. Dre and Jay Z / Nas beefs all produced shot-firing tracks that still loom large today-- Notorious' "Who Shot Ya" is still referenced by rappers all of the time, and Nas' "Ether" is now so baked into the foundation of rap that its title is now synonymous with a devastating diss.

Right around the time Lil Wayne's Dedication 5 dropped, Pusha T tweeted out a message that seemed to be directed at Wayne. “I think it’s safe to say, you really lost it…” read the Tweet, and was apparently clear enough for Young Money rapper Jae Millz to respond. In an interview with DJ Envy, Pusha finally clarified what the tweet meant, as well as touching on his work with Kanye West, and the possibility of a new Clipse album.

When used properly, ad-libs can really accelerate the popularity of an artist. Just ask Big Sean or 2 Chainz. These between-the-lines phrases are designed to hype up listeners, adding extra energy to their verses. Ad-libs tend to be funny, serious, or flat-out ridiculous. Recently, acts like Migos have taken ad-libs to the next level. While some rapper ad-libs can be annoying, there are those who've properly honed the ad-lib craft, and the result is usually entertaining. Ad-libs can also function as a tag or trademark for rappers-- the instant you hear one, you know who's on the track.

Future is lightyears ahead of his time. Since touching down in 2012 with his Epic Records debut album Pluto, the Freeband Gang founder has continued hustling as an artist. The sloppy, melodic flow Future introduced on Pluto has been used by virtually every trapper who’s poppin’ today, and U.O.E.N.O. it.

Recently, a Pusha T snippet titled "All American" made the rounds, and while it was being passed off as a song from the rapper's upcoming sophomore effort, King Push, Pusha has decided to dead the rumors at the source-- the KanyeToThe forums.

You may not agree with everything Kanye West says--in fact, it would be worrisome if you did--but you can't deny his omnipotence as a tastemaker. If Kanye says it's hot, it's hot. Many of today's household names were once unknowns, and thanks to Yeezy, we can now enjoy their them in their full spotlight. The Grammy's prime nemesis has won more Awards than anyone his age--21 total. He's released seven albums, none of them less-than-great, and that doesn't even touch on the classic records he's produced, including his own.

In unfortunate news, it has come out that Joaquin Phoenix did not contribute any production to Pusha T's "King Push," or anywhere else on the album for that matter. While the actor did play a role in supplying the rapper with the beat, it seems that the idea that he was artistically involved was the result of a misunderstanding.

Crew tracks are commonplace in rap today, but unless we're going back to The Game's legendary "One Blood" remix, they rarely feature more than 5 or 6 rappers. A new project put together by Noisey and Hennessey plans to raise the bar for posse cuts, featuring 30 different rappers recorded in 3 different cities (Game's track had 23 rappers by the way. We had to count).

Terrence Thornton, better known as Pusha T, was one half of the group Clipse and enjoyed a ton of success in hip-hop in the early 2000s along with his brother Malice, who made up the other half of the duo. After Malice took a step back from Music, Pusha T took the opportunity to explore the solo lane and put out music on his own. He was quickly signed by longtime friend and fellow rapper Kanye West, who added Push to his G.O.O.D Music imprint.

Dr. Dre's co-sign has affected the careers of rappers like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar, so praise from the legendary producer is quite an honor. In a recent interview with Billboard, Dre, along with the surviving members of N.W.A. (Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella) shared his favorite emcees of the moment -- which happened to be Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Pusha T.
