The Best Hip Hop Songs (On Spotify) Of July 2016 Jul 28, 2016 at 12:31pm
HNHH recently launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now.  The playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all super-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify. Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop.

While they were once a powerful team, collaborating regularly and putting out the joint project Ferrari Boyz, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka have not been on good terms for years now. While many fans hoped to see a reunion between the two when Guwop was released earlier this year, it seems things have not come any closer to being worked out between the two.

Gucci Mane's return home from prison was greeted with plenty of excitement, and the Atlanta trapper is ensuring he lives up to the hype with his new album Everybody Looking-- hype which is also translating into sales, thankfully enough for the ATL king.
Gucci Mane's "Everybody Looking" (Review)
Gucci Mane's "Everybody Looking" (Review) Jul 26, 2016 at 05:03pm
I didn't listen to each and every one of the 32 projects Gucci Mane released during his three year stint in federal prison, but I can say that of the 15 or so I am familiar with, none have anything approaching how heavy the majority of his first post-prison release is. Gucci had a ton of material lying around when he went away, most of it relatively close in character to what he was doing on 2013's uneven State Vs. Radric Davis II project, and none of it reflecting his mental state behind bars.

It is well-documented that Fetty Wap's favorite rapper is Gucci Mane. Fetty finally had the opportunity to meet Gucci at his star-studded homecoming concert Friday night in Atlanta. Fetty came out and performed a pair of songs and chopped it up with Gucci backstage. Though he kept his composure at the time, he couldn't help but share his excitement with the rest of the world the next day.

Gucci Mane continues to promote the fact that Everybody Looking is dropping on Friday, although we don't yet have a pre-order iTunes link, we're hoping that doesn't mean anything. Promo-wise, everything is on track-- the New York Times just published a piece on GuWop today, which serves as a nice lead into the album.

From what we can see, the upcoming video looks to feature a lot of art, gold, cash, jewelry, and even zebras for that matter. Gucci Mane can be seen rapping in a classroom full of women, while Usher shows off his dance moves in the clip.

It's Guwop season. The release of Gucci Mane from prison on May 26th was cause for celebration. No one celebrated more than Gucci himself. Largely confined to his Atlanta mansion, the big fella has spent his time marinating in the Southern sunshine by his backyard pool, chilling with his girlfriend, or cutting records in his home studio, the walls of which he has covered with raps he wrote while incarcerated. Click through the gallery to revisit everything Gucci has done since he got out. Everybody Looking out July 22.

I'm not going to take the time to crunch all of the numbers for the 28 weeks of 2016 we've experienced thus far, but in terms of artists who show up most often in our weekly top ten tracks list, it's not even close. Drake is the clear victor, seeming to find a way on here every week. Second place is a little more murky.
