Hottest 50 Songs Of 2015
It's holiday season, and that means it's time to start rolling out the year-end lists. There was almost too much good music to handle, as notable releases week after week meant that only the hottest tracks were able to attain a shelf-life of longer than a couple of months.
Omarion On Grammy Snub: "'Post To Be' Is One Of The Greatest R&B Collaborations Ever"
MMG hasn't had the best morning. Following the release of the Grammy nominations, Wale logged on to twitter to reflect on his lack of nominations, and it looks like the label's resident R&B singer Omarion has done the same.
R. Kelly, Jhene Aiko, Tink Appear On Spike Lee's Chi-Raq Soundtrack
Spike Lee's Chi-Raq has already ignited a lot of conversation based on its trailer alone, and while advance screenings have already taken place, the world won't have an opinion until this Friday when it gets a wide release. At one point it was rumored that Kanye West would be involved in the soundtrack of the film, and while it's still possible he had a hand in it somewhere, his name is not among the artists featured on the tracklist.
Top Tracks: November 16 - November 22
There weren't too many big releases this past week, unless you're an Adele fan, but we've got heat coming in December from guys like Curren$y and G-Eazy, who both shared new singles off their upcoming albums. Review: Vince Staples' "Summertime '06"
I first saw Vince Staples through his baby picture, the artwork to his breakout mixtape, Shyne Coldchain Vol. 1, was floating down my Tumblr feed in 2011. However, it wasn’t until I was listening to Earl Sweatshirt’s Doris, that I was blown away listening to Vince completely slaughter the outro of “Hive,” and from there on anything else I heard him on. In 2014 after releasing his second installment of Shyne Coldchain Vol.
Stream Hudson Mohawke's New Album "Lantern"
Between producing for Kanye West, (arguably) founding the trap-rave genre with Lunice in TNGHT, and being signed to cutting-edge electronic label Warp, Scotland native Hudson Mohawke is a busy man. That's probably why it's taken him close to six years to release a follow-up to 2009's Butter. Next week, he'll drop his new album Lantern, and one week in advance, we get the opportunity to stream it, courtesy of iTunes Radio.

Jhene Aiko's "Eat The Booty" Line From "Post To Be" Was Inspired By Kevin Gates
Jhene Aiko's debut album impacted last year, and while she scored a hit (and Grammy nomination) with lead single, "The Worst", most of her recent radio play has come from her feature on Omarion's surprise smash, "Posed To Be". Jhene decided to go off-brand with her contribution, introducing a playful side of herself we usually don't see on record. One line from her verse in particular inspired a double take from fans -- “Might let your boy chauffeur me, but he got to eat the booty like groceries.”
