The dispute between 50 Cent, Omari Hardwick, and Courtney Kemp over Hardwick's role in the "Power" universe joins many other conflicts.

50 Cent is not letting up in his conflict with Courtney Kemp. She's the creator of the Power universe with whom Fif's been beefing for a long time. As caught by The Shade Room, he took to Instagram to react to recent comments about the show-runner made by one of Power's biggest stars. Omari Hardwick, who played Ghost, spoke about a rumor pertaining to 50 and Kemp.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Hardwick responded to a question about whether or not he knew Kemp was trying to write his character out of the show early. This is a claim the G-Unit mogul has made in the past.

"There was definitely a shift," he said. "Often times, the most talented people are treated not necessarily the greatest. I think there's a lot of small a**es in big seats in life. Trying to relegate the big a**es to small seats in life. So I started to know the lay of the land as it pertained to New York having me... 'What up, Ghost!' [...] I never said anything, did I? That's why I always rock with 50. I always pray for Courtney. Always. Never stopped praying for her. Shouted her out the other day. Gifted. I can still acknowledge God [has] given a gift. All of it served me."

"small a** in a BIG seat, she forgot I hired her," Fif captioned his post. "@omarihardwickofficial a real [ninja emoji]. we hit the bullseye with POWER."

50 Cent & Courtney Kemp Beef

For those unaware, 50 Cent's beef with Courtney Kemp stems from creative control and credit in the Power universe. Most recently, he accused her of sleeping with cast and crew members. This was after she had responded to 50's criticisms of her in a recent interview.

"50’s recollection of budgets and production requirements is uninformed, as he was rarely in a budget meeting. I have never once understated his importance in the genesis of Power," Kemp remarked. "While he did not write nor create the series, he was a large part of its birth. That said, I am completely bewildered by his need to mention me in interviews or podcasts. I have completely moved on in my career. I hope that the imminent success of Street Fighter allows him to do the same."

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel treasures the crossover between his native reggaetón and hip-hop news coverage, such as his review for Bad Bunny’s hometown concert in 2024. But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
