Flight Club is giving fans a rare chance to grab a classic Jordan for almost nothing. The retailer opened a drawing for the 2016 Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam,” and winners can buy a pair for $11.
The price seems like a nod to the Air Jordan 11 and the date the entries close. It is a clever way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Space Jam.
Entries close on Wednesday, November 11th, at 11:59 PM ET. Fans need to sign in to Flight Club’s drawing page, choose a size, and pick a store.
Important to note that pairs can only be collected in person at the Los Angeles, New York, and Miami stores. The lucky winners get the chance to buy a pair for $11, a dream for sneakerheads.
The timing is perfect, since the new Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is only about a month away. That retro is set for December 12th at $235.
Flight Club has not said how many pairs are available. That means the odds will probably be tough. Overall, it is a fun promotion that rewards fans in the right cities.
Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”
The 2016 Space Jam retro was one of the biggest releases of its year. Concord accents replaced the original Varsity Royal color, which made it stand out from the earlier pairs.
This year’s version goes back to the 2000 look. Varsity Royal returns, and Jordan Brand also added #23 to the heel.
It is part of a huge collection that celebrates the film’s 30th anniversary. The group includes the “Magic Ball,” the “Green Screen,” and several other Space Jam pairs.
Drawings like this one also show how much the sneaker world loves a good promotion. Flight Club has built its reputation on rare pairs, and it knows hype sells.
With the movie’s anniversary and the new retro on the way, Space Jam is everywhere this month. Overall, this is a perfect warm-up for the December release.
