Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers could be released from jail if she enters a treatment program following two drunk driving incidents.

Kim Mathers has had a very rough year, as she was reportedly hospitalized after attempting to take her own life earlier this summer. This followed two drunk driving incidents earlier this year that got the ex-wife of Eminem in legal trouble after another pending DUI case. It's part of a reportedly wider issue.

According to a Click On Detroit report, a Michigan court ordered Mathers to stay in Macomb County jail for various bond violations. Judge William H. Hackel III reportedly revoked her $5,000 bond from June, but said she can leave prison if she finds inpatient treatment for her alcohol use.

Prosecutors reportedly claimed Kim Mathers has repeated tether violations. She turned herself into district court in June after missing three hearings over the two drunk driving incidents. In addition, Mathers reportedly faces an OWI charge in Chesterfield Township.

Her attorney reportedly argued she's made plans to receive treatment, but the judge and prosecutors did not see such compliance and disallowed her from turning herself in voluntarily for treatment.

Click On Detroit's report included the tether company's indications about bond violations. Prosecutors argued against the defense's claims of seeking treatment by claiming she hadn't sought treatment in two months.

Despite the turbulence and strain of their infamous relationship, Eminem and Kim Mathers are still coparents. Reports emerged back in 2023 that they would reunite at their daughters Hailie Jade's wedding. Still, they haven't spoken much about each other publicly since their split. They dated in the early 1990s, welcomed Hailie Jade in 1995, got married, divorced in 2001, remarried in 2006, and separated for good months later.

These updates on Kim are saddening for many fans, and many folks expressed their concerns and best wishes for her amid this time. We will see if she decides to enter an inpatient treatment program further down the line.

Elsewhere, the Detroit rapper might have some new bars to share with fans in 2026. 50 Cent said new music from Em and Tupac would appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Also, Marshall Mathers will reportedly appear on the new album from Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa, which comes out soon. We'll see if these promises pan out or if we have to wait a little longer.
