There was a similar discussion around Drake and Future when they dropped "Ran To Atlanta," but "Ya Hit" is causing even more debate.

Drake and Future were massive parts of the 2024 rap feud saga, probably the two most important figures alongside Kendrick Lamar. Fans wondered if their apparent conflict would ever go away, and it did two years later with the release of "Ran To Atlanta" on ICEMAN. But following their new collaboration "Ya Hit" from Fewtch's upcoming album Infinity, there are still persistent questions about whether or not they're truly friends again or are just in it for the business.

"Ya Hit," which also features Loe Shimmy, Travis Scott, and ad-libs from Sexyy Red, has drawn all sorts of reactions. Some, from media figures like Joe Budden and his podcast, focused more on the music and on the Pluto "stimulus package." However, many reactions from fans instead focus on the alleged dynamic between the What A Time To Be Alive duo.

This was the same with "Ran To Atlanta" and the Freebandz artist's moves after its release, as folks questioned why they were apart from each other for the music video. There's a similar narrative circulating around videos of all the "Ya Hit" collaborators partying and posing for a picture, with the Atlanta superstar and his Toronto counterpart being pretty distant.

Drake & Future's History

Drake and Future's alleged dynamic also came up amid the former's 40th birthday celebrations, which the latter reportedly attended or at least made a partial appearance at. At the end of the day, all of this is just speculation, but it speaks to how fans are re-litigating the 2024 rap battle and the industry and personal relationships between these artists.

Some feel like the 6ix God should've never let Hendrix back into his life, while others feel the same but with inverted roles. There were also similar questions about Drake and Travis Scott, but the friendship between them despite beef rumors stemming from 2024 seems much more clear these days.

Fans React

In any case, it goes to show how fans aren't content with just new music and these artists doing business together. Until they actually show extracurricular affection or speak on these matters directly, these rumors will continue. Elsewhere, other fans are urging their colleagues to focus on the music rather than any beef narratives.
