Some are excited for Future's album "Infinity," while others questioned and scolded the Drake, Travis Scott, and Loe Shimmy-assisted "Ya Hit."

Future just dropped his album The Real Me, but he's apparently not done with 2026 just yet. Ahead of his next album Infinity, he just dropped the new single "Ya Hit." The buzzing trap track features Drake, Travis Scott, Loe Shimmy, and some ad-libs from Sexyy Red, and it's led to a whole bunch of different reactions online.

This is unsurprising for any music release, especially in the age of calling everything goated or garbage with no room for in-betweens. But in the context of Future's history with collaborators like Drake, the criticisms, praises, and questions about this new song go much further than just on-the-surface reactions.

While many love the star-powered link-up and believe it's a triumphant return to form for blockbuster rap, others found it formulaic or even forced. That's because of rampant speculation about what Pluto and Drizzy's actual friendship is like these days. They may have seemingly buried the 2024 hatchet, but fans are reading deeply into music video shoots to speculate that they may still be at odds.

Still, that's one small part of the larger conversation about the Atlanta superstar. Since folks didn't really like The Real Me, they are hoping for a bounce-back. Whether or not "Ya Hit" points towards that direction is up to you.

Future's "Ya Hit"

Elsewhere, "Ya Hit" also drew heated discussion online thanks to Drake's subliminal diss on it. "Your album ain't getting no better, it's done, so submit it," he rapped on the cut. Maybe this is a throwaway and generalized shot, but some believe it could take aim at folks like A$AP Rocky, Jay-Z, or DJ Khaled, as all three opponents either have projects on the horizon or are heavily speculated to have one. Some folks even brought up Kendrick's name again, even though we know nothing about what he's up to.

Fans React

No matter what you think of "Ya Hit," it's clear Future will likely score big with his next album Infinity. After all, even the panned The Real Me debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. But will this next LP be up to the standards fans expect? We'll have to wait and see.
