Nearly $200,000 in creditor claims have been filed against the estate of late producer Tay Keith, with American Express and Bank of America seeking payment tied to credit cards and a luxury vehicle. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, American Express National Bank filed two claims this month. One seeks roughly $60,000 connected to a Business Platinum account, while a second seeks approximately $27,000 from a separate Platinum account.
Bank of America also filed a claim involving Keith’s 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS. The financial institution says the estate owes about $115,000 on the vehicle. Together, the claims exceed $198,000. The filings are creditor claims against the estate, meaning the amounts are being presented for payment through the probate process. They do not, by themselves, establish that every amount will ultimately be approved or paid as submitted.

Keith Left Behind A Significant Estate
The claims arrive after creditors were formally notified to come forward during probate. In July, TMZ reported that a family member had been appointed administrator of Keith’s estate and disclosed substantial assets, including bank and money market accounts, a Mercedes-Maybach, a Lamborghini, and a 50 percent interest in a Memphis home.
His estate also includes business and music-related holdings. The filing cited interests in Shadow Tequila and an engineering studio, along with Keith’s publishing rights, music catalog, trademarks, and royalties. According to the probate documents, Keith was unmarried, had no children, and left no will.
Keith, whose legal name was Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, died June 18 at age 29. The Nashville Medical Examiner later determined that he died from the toxic effects of ketamine and mitragynine, a compound found in kratom, TMZ reported.
