According to TMZ, Tay Keith's cause of death has been revealed. The Nashville Medical Examiner's Office released findings from their autopsy. The artist reportedly died of an overdose and had Ketamine, as well as mitragynine, in his system. The latter of these is an ingredient that can be found in Kratom.

As TMZ reports, it is unclear if Tay Keith had access to Kratom, or if he came into contact with it through another drug. Regardless of what transpired, it does not change the fact that his death is a major tragedy.
Sexyy Red was one of the attendees at Tay Keith's funeral. She posted photos from the event and proclaimed that the producer will never be forgotten. It was a painful reminder of just how quickly things can change, and how fragile life can sometimes be.
Tay Keith's legacy will live on in the music, and the lives he was able to touch in the process.
