Lil Baby opens up about his relationship with Gunna.

Lil Baby is in a new album cycle, giving him the chance to finally address what’s been on everyone’s mind: his relationship with Gunna. During a sit-down with The New York Times Popcast, the rapper discussed his relationship with Gunna, saying the two certainly aren’t on good terms, but that doesn’t mean it will lead to further contention.

“Whether I like them or they like me, it’s like we all gonna be on that personal vibe,” he said. “We can not like each other but we gonna play it cool for y’all, you know what I’m saying? It’s like an unspoken thing.”

He added, “It’s like a new thing now I see like, people be going at each other and stuff, like, we ain’t really on that. We got a problem? We can handle our problem off the internet, in person, just us.”

Ultimately, Lil Baby felt as though their personal problems shouldn’t come in between what he and Gunna mean to the city of Atlanta as a whole. He said that if they were to start trading shots publicly at each other, it would ultimately make both of them look bad in the public eye.

Lil Baby & Gunna Won't Collaborate Again

“I’d rather have that beef or problem personally because we’re… really like the ones who hold it down for the town,” he continued.

Unfortunately, this means that the Drip Harder duo probably won’t ever reconnect on wax again, despite the impeccable chemistry they shared before the YSL RICO trial.

Lil Baby is currently revving up for the release of his new album, Fresh, due out on November 6th. The album will consist of 17 songs and appearances from Future, Young Thug, Rylo Rodriguez, Bally Baby, and Fatt Smaxx.
