Despite 6ix9ine's snitching controversy, A$AP Rocky recently called him "entertaining" and showed him some love.

A$AP Rocky recently sat down for a wide-ranging interview on The Jason Lee Show, going over tensions with his A$AP crew, his long-running Drake beef, and a whole lot more. At one point, Lee joked about folks letting Tekashi 6ix9ine in the culture despite his snitching past, which led to some surprisingly praiseful remarks from the "STOP SNITCHING" rapper.

"6ix9ine is so entertaining, bro," he expressed, as caught by No Jumper on Twitter. "Listen... 6ix9ine had a powerful movement when he came out. 6ix9ine had the bloods and the crips together, on some unity s**t. Check out his beginning videos. All the crips here, all the bloods here, then they mingling. Ain't nobody fighting. It's just love. Brotherly love. All the s**t that was going on in the background, all the extortion and all that... I feel like he entertaining to watch, bro. I watch his interviews. And I just be... I f**k with it. Hate me for saying that. I don't give a f**k."

Turns out that Tekashi saw this moment and wanted to return the favor to Rocky, as caught by No Jumper on Twitter. "THIS WHAT HAVING YOUR OWN BACK BONE LOOKS LIKE @asaprocky," he wrote in a recent Instagram Story post that shared the Harlem creative's remarks. "THIS IS WHAT NOT TRYING TO BE DOWN LOOKS LIKE, NOT TRYING TO BE PART OF THE COOL [TABLE] SO PEOPLE COULD LIKE YOU."

6ix9ine Responds To A$AP Rocky

Of course, this led to split reactions online. Some commended Rocky for showing love despite the drama, while others think Tekashi is the last person he should be praising. Either way, he can't deny the controversial MC is an entertaining presence, especially years after his snitching.

Elsewhere, A$AP Rocky addressed many other hot hip-hop topics during this interview, such as the Drake feud and his relationship with Rihanna. On the other hand, 6ix9ine is still as provocative as ever, trolling his rap opps and making light of controversies within the genre.

We will see if this shoutout leads to more developments. Maybe more rappers will speak out with praise, or counter Rocky's words with more critical condemnations.
