Lil Wayne has often faced issues with canceled or postponed concerts before, and a lack of clear explanation led to questions from fans.

Lil Wayne has been captivating fans on his "20 Years Of Carter Classics" tour with special guest 2 Chainz. But fans in Charleston, West Virginia sadly did not get to join in on the festivities last night (Friday, October 16) for his scheduled stop. That's because, according to the venue's statement, they had to postpone the show due to "inclement weather and travel delays."

The Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center had this to add in their statement. "All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be posted here and emailed to ticketholders directly when available."

According to AllHipHop, the announcement emerged at 5:30PM, just three hours before Weezy was set to hit the stage. The announcement did not point to specific weather conditions or other details that would explain or verify the postponement, with no replacement date in sight at press time. Also, it's unclear if other shows will face a similar fate. The next stop on the "20 Years Of Carter Classics" trek is tonight (Saturday, October 17) at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Three more shows will follow on October 22, 23, and 29 in Kentucky, Tennessee, and New Mexico, respectively. Lil Wayne has had postponed concert trouble before, so fans hope this won't be a frequent trend for the remainder of the tour.

Lil Wayne Concert Canceled

Lil Wayne's canceled concert follows a more controversial situation in Maine. After 2 Chainz played his opening set, fans waited for two hours before learning Wayne would not be performing. He apologized and returned to Maine for a make-up show about a month later.

Elsewhere, Lil Wayne's new music is catching heat for its proximity to his MAGA sensibilities. The new Kid Rock collab "7 Sins" caught some flack, but not as much as Eminem appearing on the same album. After all, he's been much more vocal about anti-Trump stances.

We will see if Tunechi addresses this recent concert postponement, the latest in a sadly growing list. Hopefully Lil Wayne fans in Charleston, West Virginia will get their make-up show in due time.
