Future has been one of the most consistent superstars of the past 15 years, as he has something new to offer fans pretty much every year. But now, some fans believe he might double on that prolific nature in 2026. Just months after the Atlanta rapper released his album The Real Me, some messages he dropped on Twitter over the weekend now have fans thinking he could be dropping another project very soon.
He used the "infinity" hashtag frequently in these new tweets, which made fans reflect on an August message he posted about missing a cousin which also used the hashtag. Some sleuths believe this is the name of a new record, whereas other Internet users think this is all just speculative fodder. Most people wouldn't be surprised either way. But considering how The Real Me did not exactly get glowing reviews, the idea of a prompt bounce-back is enticing.
"Damn I miss my lil cousin Tana. It’s yo day today kid #infinity," Fewtch wrote back in August. His tweets from this weekend followed with this "infinity" branding.
"It’s a flex u can brag to say u smushed one of my ex hxxs #DABIGGEST #INFINITY," Pluto wrote, posting more tweets later on. "Dis s**t overly loaded. Jus wait…INFINITY. Zone 6 #INFINITY. LAFAMILIA #INFINITY. ain’t no stopping #INFINITY."
However, it's important to note Future has used the word "infinity" in previous tweets in contexts that had nothing to do with new music. Maybe the use of a hashtag was enough to get fans speculating, but there's a good chance folks are reading too deeply into this.
Future's Mixtapes
We will see if this eventually leads to an official announcement or if these messages have nothing to do with new music or endeavors. Fortunately, if there really is nothing on the way, at least Hendrix fans have had more to enjoy this year.
Beyond The Real Me, Future uploaded his old mixtapes to streaming services. Fans can now enjoy the original Dirty Sprite and projects like Kno Mercy on platforms like Spotify, opening the door for newer listeners to do their homework.
Also, Future is on the GTA VI soundtrack, and his collab with Metro Boomin and Yung Lean for the video game, "That's It," dropped as one of its singles. Whether "Infinity" is actually coming out or these tweets have been misinterpreted, 2026 has been a big year for the Freebandz MC.
