Earlier this year, HNHH launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now. The playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all super-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify. Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop and R&B.
Beyonce Wins Big, Drake Leaves Empty-Handed At 2016 Soul Train Awards
The Soul Train Music Awards were held on Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, though the show didn't air until earlier tonight. With the TV broadcast came the unveiling of all of the award winners. The categories included the year's best in R&B and, of course, soul music, but there were also a handful of hip-hop nominations, as the event, hosted by Erykah Badu, is meant to serve as a celebration of black music.

Instead of the excitement that usually greets a Friday evening, many of us are still wondering what the hell happened this week. Young M.A's "OOOUUU" has garnered 27 million YouTube views and has positioned her as one of New York's most highly touted rap prospects. Power 105.1 Taps Wiz Khalifa, Tory Lanez, Bryson Tiller & More For Powerhouse NYC
After teasing that there would be a "big announcement" on the Breakfast Club last night, Power 105.1 announced the line-up for their annual Powerhouse event this morning, which goes down in October. This year's Powerhouse concert will feature a mix of old and new cats, putting on for New York with Young M.A., Desiigner, Remy Ma and Fat Joe all tapped. You can also expect performances from Bryson Tiller, Wiz Khalifa, Usher and Tory Lanez.
Fat Joe, Remy Ma & French Montana Have Another Single Coming
Fat Joe and Remy Ma's "All The Way Up" is the surprise hit of the summer; a smash single that is both rooted in New York's history, and in touch with the current rap landscape. The French Montana-assisted track is still everywhere, particularly in NY, but Fat Joe has revealed in a new interview that he and Remy will be taking the same formula to the follow-up next month.
Watch Every BET Awards 2016 Performance
Sunday night's BET Awards was one of the show's best iterations in years. Performers included Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Young Thug, Future, Bryson Tiller, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana, & Anderson. Paak -- and that doesn't even include any of the Prince tributes, which were bountiful and glorious. Sadly, the scheduled D'Angelo Prince tribute never came to pass. Otherwise, the show was nearly flawless.

Happy Memorial Day. The past week has been a wild one, what with the chaos at T.I.’s NYC show, Gucci Mane’s release from prison, and a new Kevin Gates tape. Summer’s officially here, so expect things to keep picking up in the rap game— we’ve got a ScHoolboy Q album, SremmLife 2, and a bunch of other heat on the way. On the top tracks side of things, there was quite a bit of turnover in our list this week, with only the bottom and top tracks from the last edition making return appearances.

Last month, Fat Joe announced that he would be releasing a a joint album with his old Terror Squad partner-in-crime Remy Ma. In an interview on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's 'Drink Champs' podcast, Joe discussed the album and revealed that it would be called Platas o Plomo. Money or bullets. Fat Joe revealed the news to Hip Hop Wired that the two New York emcees are planning on releasing a joint album soon. “Me and Remy just wrapped up a new album. Just me and Remy. Papoose & Remy Ma Hold Official Wedding Ceremony
Papoose & Remy Ma got married in 2008, at the beginning of Remy's six-year bid for shooting a woman in the abdomen. Remy became a free woman on August 1, 2014, and Thursday night they held an official wedding ceremony in Connecticut. Distinguished guests included Ice-T, Keyshia Cole, JuJu, LHH co-stars Yandy Smith, Cardi B and Bianca, Rich Dollaz, Mona Scott-Young, and Fat Joe. The ceremony will reportedly be airing on an upcoming episode of "Love and Hip Hop" in case you want to witness this historic event.
Remy Ma Shares Thoughts On One Year Anniversary Of Her Release From Prison
It's been a full year since Remy Ma was released Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, where she served a six year sentence. Her time spent away for charges of assault, weapon possession and coercion still weigh heavy on the rapper's mind on the anniversary of her freedom, but thanks to her friends and family, she seems to be in a good place. Remy shared some thoughts on the one year mark on Instagram earlier today.

Papoose & Remy Ma To Join Cast Of "Love & Hip-Hop"
Papoose and Remy Ma are finally back together, after Remy's prison stint came to an end last summer. In addition to working on new music individually, the two are making some joint moves. Namely, they've signed up to appear on the sixth season of the reality TV show "Love & Hip-Hop." They announced the new venture on Instagram, as seen below. The VH1 show as seen its fair share of drama (some possibly scripted, some not), so we'll have to see how Remy and Pap play into it. No word on who else will be joining the cast for season six, so stay tuned.
Remy Ma Reveals "I'm Around" Mixtape Cover Art
Remy Ma still isn't done her press run since her prison release. The female MC's latest interview occurred with talk show host Wendy Williams, where she spoke once more on her time in prison, what life has been out since her release, and she took the opportunity to reveal her cover art for her upcoming mixtape I'm Around. Remy Ma speaks briefly on the tape, "It's just something that I wanna put out for the fans and for the people that been waiting six and half years for me to put out music, while I work on the album."

G-Unit is out on the road promotion their new EP The Beauty Of Independence. Stopping by Connecticut's Hot 9.31, Buck, Banks, Yayo and Kidd Kidd, addressed why their new projects don't have guest features. “I know a lot of [the love] is not genuine... I think a lot of it really is genuine when it comes from the fans,” Young Buck said. “From the artists, nah, I don’t know. It’s like I didn’t see none of you dudes rooting to try to get G-Unit back together when we were not together.”
