In an interview with Complex, Kanye spoke on his integration into the fashion world and the pressure he felt before debuting his "Yeezy: Season 1" show with adidas last Thursday. The interview solely focuses on Yeezy's fashion ventures, though Kanye says "Yeezy: Season 1" was created with the same "mentality and passion that brought College Dropout into existence." Throughout the interview, there are 'Ye quotables you don't want to miss.

The Grammys bring all of recorded popular music together under one roof. It's the only time you can see Snoop Dogg and Billy Joel at the same party (because Billy's a Piru for life).  After several years of awkwardly sitting rap's biggest stars next to pop's schmaltziest, some enterprising show producer decided to bring that contrast to the main stage, throwing rap artists and pop artists together to see what sticks.

The Grammys are coming right up, and we'll have the pleasure of watching Iggy Azealia, Common, Eminem, Childish Gambino, Schoolboy Q or Wiz Khalifa take home an award for the 'Best Rap Album.' In the past, the Grammys have picked some albums that had everyone scratching their head, but they've also got it right a few times. We're going to focus on those instances with this list.

With the Grammys coming up this Sunday, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at the times they have upset us, the hip-hop community, the most. Because nobody is perfect and the Grammys are certainly no exception.  While there are a few time they got the 'Best Rap Album' right (and we will take a look at the flip side of this list later today, so keep an eye out), there have also been quite a few instances where they picked the absolute wrong album, upon general consensus.

The album is due out on May 5th, and while Tech may be putting the finishing touches on it right now, he's still missing one very essential verse. During a live show at the Diamond Ballroom, Tech revealed that he's awaiting a verse from none other than Eminem.

Nate Dogg left an incredible body of work before his time came to an end. He crushed it on his solo projects, alongside 213, and also on dozens and dozens of legendary features. The latter of which is what we're focusing on today. We wanted to take a look at 10 of Nate Dogg's rawest features. He's ran with the obvious likes of Eminem, Fabolous, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, but also with E-40, Shaquille O'Neal, Mos Def and Mobb Deep. He's a fascinating artist to get in to because he roots go back deep to the early 90s when he was doing his part in pioneering the g-funk sound.

As we reported on over the weekend, 50 Cent took over New York Daily News for the day today. We're not sure exactly how involved he was (or is) in the editorial process for NY Daily News, but he was apparently going to help pick the news stories they ran today, choose photos, and attend meetings. Along with those duties, there was a live chat with the rapper on the newspaper's blog.

Eminem may be hyper-aggressive on record, but when it comes to his fans, his inner-kindness comes shining through. Gage Garmo, a huge Eminem fan caught the rapper's attention when his friends got the hashtag, #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem trending. The 17-year-old Garmo had been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that gave him only a week to live. His last wish was apparently to meet his hero, Em, who upon hearing the story, agreed to come to the teen's house just outside of Detroit.

Iggy Azalea Thinks The Criticism Towards Her Stems From Misogyny

Iggy Azalea's rise to fame has not been without critics and haters, including some very vocal disapproval from similar or lesser celebrity stature, like Azealia Banks and Lord Jamar. Given the Australian rapper's penchant for putting on some weird Southern accent in her raps, and generally giving us bars about absolutely nothing over pop-driven instrumentals, the criticism from rap counterparts isn't unwarranted.

Eminem Sued Over Sample In "Rap God"
    Jan 5, 2015 at 05:58pm
Eminem paid homage to a lot of rappers in his lyrical acrobatics on "Rap God," however, it seems that one MC who got a shout out of sorts was none too pleased about it. Mid-song on "Rap God" Em samples, however briefly, "Lookin' Boy" from Chicago rap group Hotstylz, allegedly without their permission. Now one of the MCs in the group, rapper Raymond Jones, is suing Eminem and his record label for a cool $8 million. All for a 25-second sample.

It's a combination of rap fans' thirst for beef and media's thirst for clicks that often turns ordinary statements into "shade". In the case of J. Cole's "Fire Squad", the speculation around a line made the rounds before many even heard the song themselves.

    J. Cole's address of white privilege on "Fire Squad" has consistently been misconstrued as an Eminem diss by fans and media alike. Cole has always been pretty vocal about his admiration for Shady, but he nevertheless took the chance to set the record straight in his recent interview with Angie Martinez.

Fifteen years of Shady Records represents an unusual time for rap music, transitioning out of the shiny suit era and into a bubble featuring new names. Aside from D12 and Obie Trice releases, the label’s existence was mostly tied to Eminem signing a certain Queens MC.

Trick-Trick may be a rapper, but he's primarily known as the creator of the "No Fly Zone" policy that he enforces in his hometown of Detroit. Trick has been known to ban rappers from the city if they do not actively support the Detroit rap scene or collaborate with artists from the region. We most recently saw some conflict arise from this when Rick Ross attempted to play a show in Michigan, but it appears J.

By now, it's no secret that streaming giant Spotify has eclipsed nearly every other comparable service in its field, so its new list of the "top" (or most popular) music of the year is probably one of the best gauges of America's listening habits that we have. Including categories for male and female artists, albums and songs, the list includes several artists from the hip-hop/R&B world (alright, mostly the R&B one). Check out the lists below.

    J. Cole is going a unique route with his upcoming album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. He's shying away from traditional promo and album campaign, instead getting the fans directly involved by hosting a listening session at his childhood home (which the LP is named after) and inviting fans to come through. He's also not dropping any singles leading up to the December 9th release date.
