It's no surprise that he's chosen the tactic of creating a new chapter in an ongoing series, since that seems to be the trend in hip-hop at the moment - for example, Lil Uzi Vert just dropped Luv Is Rage 2 and has also teased a potential sequel to his previous release, Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World. Meanwhile, Yachty seems to be recruiting some names who come with massive Internet followings to appear on his next project. Based on a Twitter video that he shared earlier this morning, one of those names could be Lil Pump.
The two rappers appeared in the clip, which was taken from an undisclosed studio location, previewing a new track that could be off Lil Boat 2. There's been no confirmation as to whether or not that will be the case, however the Boaty one used the hashtag for the upcoming tape in his tweet, so all signs point towards an inclusion for this unreleased song. With booming bass and Yachty's signature baritone drawl, the track looks to have all the ingredients of a single that could invigorate both of their respective fan bases and have some success across all streaming services. Whenever it drops, it will be an special occasions for many hip-hop enthusiasts.
That being said, there are sure to be plenty of haters out there as well. Sporting dye in their dreads and precious metals over their teeth, both Yachty and Pump draw the ire of some hip-hop fans and commentators because they're deemed to be the poster-children of " "wack rappers." While your mileage may vary with that sort of statement, the indisputable fact is how much financial power they yield as a combined force in the hip-hop community. With nearly 7 million followers between them on Instagram alone, there's certainly enough evidence out there to suggest that a collabroation between Lil Yachty and Lil Pump would set the hip-hop community into a frenzy.
