That JT solo album could ne arriving sooner than expected.

The new year is a time for many to make resolutions about the following 12 months. Though many don't end up sticking to it for the full calendar year it's still a fun bit of self-reflection. One person who shared their approach to the new year was City Girls rapper JT. She took to Twitter to share some musical plans she has going forward. "Sideways is a song not a verse & in 2024 I want to go from 'JT has good verses!' to 'JT make good songs !!'" she said in a tweet posted earlier today.

In the comments fans seem mostly supportive of her, so long as she actually drops new music. "well babe you gotta actually drop the songs," one of the top replies suggests. "well drop the song jatavia!" another reply agrees. The comment falls in line with another suggestion that JT made earlier this year following the release of the most recent City Girls album. She said that her next venture will be a solo effort, which would mean a lot more songs she's handling entirely by herself. Details on when a potential solo album might emerge haven't been released yet but she seems intent on making it this year. Check out her tweet and the replies to it below.

JT Wants To Carry More Of Her Own Songs

Back in October, City Girls released their new album RAW. Despite featuring some songs that connected with fans like "Good Love" with Usher and JT's own "No Bars" the album underperformed commercially. Some fans suggested that part of the underwhelming sales was her City Girl contemporary Yung Miami. When they suggested that JT take the Offset route and go solo she stood up for Miami. Despite that, she clearly still seems interested in recording some more solo music soon.

What do you think of JT wanting to make more good songs and not just good verses? Would you listen to an entire solo album from the City Girls rapper? Let us know in the comment section below.
