READING, ENGLAND - AUGUST 26: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Megan Thee Stallion performs on the main stage during day 1 of Reading Festival 2022 on August 26, 2022 in Reading, England.

He & his "My Expert Opinion" crew spoke at length about the Tory Lanez case & were adamant Megan was lying. The jail call changed their minds.

After an exhausting few years, Megan Thee Stallion is taking a much-needed break. We haven't heard anything from the rapper since she testified against Tory Lanez, and her fans don't seem to mind. For over two years, Megan was ridiculed, trolled, threatened, and called a liar by not only the public but her peers. Several outlets and media personalities also chose sides and used their platforms to discount Megan saying that Lanez was the person who shot her.

My Expert Opinion is a leading voice in Hip Hop podcasts, guided by Math Hoffa. The outlet maintained that Megan wasn't telling the truth, and now that we're on the other side of the case, Hoffa is offering an apology. He acknowledged Megan during a recent visit to Drink Champs.

“I want to apologize to Megan, too, because I saw 50 [Cent] put out an apology,” Hoffa said. “We didn’t believe her, we did not believe her, bro, we didn’t believe her. She definitely needed more people. Well, she didn’t really need more people. We just needed to hear that jail conversation.”

Like 50 Cent, it wasn't until after Lanez was found guilty that Megan was believed. Even after the verdict was reached, the Houston rapper faced opposition from the public. People thought, and still think, Lanez was railroaded by a corrupt system. However, evidence was later made public, including a jailhouse call Lanez made to Kelsey Harris immediately after the incident.

“As Black men, we’re supposed to protect our women," Hoffa also shared. "I feel like I failed in that category… as far as the things that I said on our podcast."

While on Big Boy's Neighborhood weeks ago, 50 Cent also apologized, sort of, to Megan for trolling her about the case. He admitted that it wasn't until he heard Lanez's jail call that he believed her story. Lanez is currently awaiting sentencing. His hearing is at the end of the month, and he faces upwards of 22 years in prison.
