Loe Shimmy could have a massive hit on his hands this year, thanks to some superstar friends. The rapper just debuted a snippet of a new record that features him and Future, but apparently, Drake and Travis Scott are also featured on the song. The latter’s appearance isn’t much of a surprise, as the record was initially previewed at Drake’s 40th birthday party last month. However, at the time, it was Loe Shimmy, Future, and Travis on the record.
Akademiks confirmed that Drake will also appear on the song but revealed that the Canadian rapper didn’t have a verse when it initially debuted last month.
“Definitely as of his birthday, he wasn’t on the song. I know he was f*cking with it, though,” Akademiks said. “Drake and Loe Shimmy, they have kind of like a collab thing right now. They’re good to collab together.”
Loe Shimmy's New Song Snippet Surfaces
Of course, Drake and Loe Shimmy have developed a strong rapport over the past year and some change. Loe Shimmy appeared on Habibti cut, “I’m Spent,” which they filmed a hilarious music video for in Toronto with both of them dressed up as Iron Man. That visual debuted as part of the FOMO short film earlier this fall. Usher also previewed a remix of that particular song, too.
Outside of that, Loe Shimmy has been riding high off of the release of his latest project, Pretty Girlz Run The World, which arrived just a few weeks after his appearance on Habibti. With the new single coming soon, we could imagine he probably has another project in the works, too. Will 2027 be Loe Shimmy’s year?
