"Street Fighter" does massive numbers.

50 Cent isn’t surprised that his new movie, Street Fighter, has had a massive box office impact. Street Fighter topped the box office globally and domestically this past weekend, bringing in $51.1M, which broke down into $20.1M from 65 markets and $31M from the United States and Canada. It’s an impressive feat for Paramount, even if the reviews have been mixed.

According to The Numbers, the film brought in $13M on Friday, $10.8M on Saturday, and $7.2M on Sunday.

Frankly, it did perform worse than anticipated, but debuting at #1 this past weekend is a flex in its own right. 50 Cent made sure to make a mention of it this morning while throwing shade at the other movies that debuted this past weekend. “50 does $51,000,000 the first week… I beached Whalefall LOL,” he wrote.

Whalefall has already earned rave reviews, but its pull couldn’t beat out Street Fighter, or even the other two major competitors this weekend, You Can See Everything and The Other Mommy.

“You know damn well I wasn’t gonna get beat by a damn whale movie LOL,” he wrote. “Fat boy gonna say bots [bought] the tickets,” he continued, taking a quick jab at Rick Ross in the process.

He added, “Not bad for a Kid from South Side.”

50 Cent stars as Balrog in the adaptation of Street Fighter. The movie also boasts a pretty impressive cast, including Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Eric Andre, and more. Fif revealed that he was in the gym for three hours a day to prepare for the role of Balrog and to build the physique of the character.

We will keep you posted on any further updates surrounding 50 Cent and the success of Street Fighter. Have you seen the movie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
