Eminem was rumored to be on the "Street Fighter" sound track, although according to 50 Cent, he had other plans.

There were rumblings that Eminem was going to be on the Street Fighter soundtrack. With 50 Cent acting in the movie, it was confirmed that Fif would be on the soundtrack himself. Of course, he and Em go way back, so rumors of a collaboration weren't born out of thin air. There were tangible reasons why fans thought this collab was coming.

During the premiere for Street Fighter, 50 Cent revealed that Eminem was, in fact, supposed to be on the soundtrack. However, the legendary rapper had other plans.

Fif let it slip that Eminem abandoned the collaborations because he wanted to focus on his upcoming album. This information was known to the public, and 50 Cent gave a little smirk when he let it slip. Clearly, he knew that this was privileged information that he was unveiling.

When is Eminem Dropping His Next Album?

At this time, a release date for the new Eminem album has not been revealed. It has been two years since the release of The Death of Slim Shady. Em himself has yet to confirm or deny 50 Cent's revelation. We imagine he will do so when he is ready.

It is an announcement that comes at an interesting time for Em. He has been catching major heat as of late for his upcoming collaboration with Kid Rock. The MAGA artist and Em don't see eye-to-eye politically, but Em is giving him a verse anyway. Some feel betrayed by this, especially in the midst of a polarizing political environment.

Whatever the case may be, a new Eminem album is an exciting prospect. Let us know if you are excited in the comments below.
