When Quavo announced he was working on an album with Pharrell behind the boards and executive-producing, many fans scratched their heads. But following singles like "Backwards" with special guest T.I., they slowly got around to the idea of QRÖMELIFE being an exciting new era for the former Migo. Now, the Atlanta rapper has announced a release date for the project via social media, as well as confirming the cover art.
This will be his first project since 2023's Rocket Power, which was also the first full-length he dropped since the passing of his nephew and fellow Migos member, Takeoff. They had dropped their collaborative album Only Built For Infinity Links in 2022, and Take's loss still pains hip-hop to this day and beyond.
Speaking of which, Quavo said QRÖMELIFE will apparently prelude another Migos album. He told DJ Greg Street on his V-103 Atlanta radio show that a new LP from the group is on the way, along with a tour alongside the remaining Migo, Offset. They had a feud before Takeoff's passing that they have since squashed.
Right now, though, fans want to hear QRÖMELIFE first before any promised Migos material. Fortunately for die-hards, they will not have to wait much longer.
Quavo's New Album
The project's artwork is a simple close-up picture of Huncho with funky glasses that spell out the LP's title. "QRÖMELIFE OCT 2nd pre save now!" he wrote on Twitter.
When QRÖMELIFE pops around on October 2, we will see if he and Pharrell Williams outdo what they already teased on "Trance (Walk It Down)" and "HAAVIN." The shiny and Louis Vuitton-inspired aesthetic for this era should be exciting for Huncho, but we'll see how he and Williams stick the landing.
Quavo will be adding to a notable solo and collaborative discography with this new full-length. 2018's QUAVO HUNCHO came out amid the Migos' peak, and his previous drop was even more high-profile. Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, released in 2017 as a collaborative effort with Travis Scott, still has some fan-favorites on there.
With all this in mind, QRÖMELIFE has the potential to impress. Hopefully, everyone will have a happy time on October 2.
