Quavo was a recent guest on Baller Alert, where he talked about the legacy of the Migos following a spat with Offset and the tragic passing of Takeoff. He had previously teased a new album from the group coming soon, but now we have a better idea of when this could actually come out.
"We coming back with a Migos album," Huncho remarked. "I mean, y'all see us [him and 'Set] working. Can't be working just for nothing. So get ready for that. We almost ready to turn it in, too... The anniversary for Migos is January, so you might get something then."
He also said this album won't be another Culture installment and teased a tour for this project. Of course, this isn't an outright confirmation that a new Migos album will have a January 2027 release date. Maybe this would be a good time to formally announce the record, drop a single for it, or celebrate the legacy and return of the group in another way.
This will all still carry a bittersweet sting due to Takeoff's passing, but the surviving members have done so much to honor his legacy up to this point. So continuing that road seems like a duty they are ready to keep up with.
Quavo Teases Migos Album
Meanwhile, Quavo is looking forward to his new album QRÖMELIFE. He recently revealed the cover art and release date for the album, which will drop in just a few weeks on October 2. With assistance behind the board from Pharrell for the whole project, fans are excited to see where the Atlanta MC goes with this.
It already got the singles "Backwards" with T.I., "Trance (Walk It Down)," and "HAAVIN," which pleased many listeners. Still, a lot of fans prefer the Migos as a group rather than their solo endeavors, so the prospect of a new album with Quavo and Offset's continued creativity bodes well.
Some fans thought Quavo might change labels amid these LPs thanks to a proposition from Young Thug. But the Migos rapper clarified they're just looking for newer generations of talent. With all these creative endeavors in mind, a new album from the group honoring Takeoff and celebrating their legacy could be one of the big moments of 2027.
