Dave East, Jim Jones, and Fabolous swapped tennis whites for full streetwear fits, and the court turned into a runway for a minute.

Dave East hit the court at the US Open alongside Jim Jones and Fabolous. The tennis was secondary here. Every outfit on court looked pulled straight from a lookbook.

East wore an all-over printed hoodie and shorts set in a soft striped pattern. Also on his feet, he laced up a pair of Nike Air Huaraches in white, purple, and black with volt accents. It read more like off-duty streetwear than actual tennis gear.

Jim Jones kept things clean in an all-white Adidas set with green trim. A matching green cap and chain rounded out the fit. White sneakers with green accents tied everything together.

Fabolous leaned into a bold yellow and black jersey-style top. He paired it with patterned shorts and fresh white sneakers. The color mix made him easy to spot in every shot.

At one point, Jim Jones rolled East around in a courtside chair for laughs. Even while laughing mid-joke, the outfits stayed the real focus of the photos. Overall nobody really looked like they dressed for actual competition.

Dave East isn't new to the sneaker business himself. He linked with Diadora and Foot Locker for his own N9002 release. He's also fronted lookbooks for Puma, including a run with the brand's Tsugi Shinsei silhouette.

Jim Jones has built a reputation as one of hip-hop's most serious sneaker collectors. He's talked at length about his personal collection in interviews over the years. Brands like Kith have tapped him for runway appearances too, further cementing that reputation.

Fabolous has stayed close to sneaker culture for most of his career as well. He's rarely photographed without something fresh on his feet. That reputation extends back to his earliest videos and has stuck with him since.

Put those three together on a tennis court, and the fashion focus makes sense. This isn't a group of rappers dabbling in sneakers for a photo op. It's three guys who've been embedded in that world for years.
