GloRilla & Sexyy Red Face Backlash Over “Jiggly Bow Bow” Preview

A song preview built around “Jiggly Bow Bow” was supposed to test how badly listeners wanted another GloRilla and Sexyy Red record. Instead, the clip quickly became whether some fans are tired of this particular lane of women’s Rap. GloRilla shared the snippet Monday with the question, “when yall want dis ???,” but a wave of responses suggested the answer was somewhere between not yet and not at all. One widely shared reaction on X complained that “shaking butt music by the girls is getting so lazy,” while another simply declared, “I’m tired of the gross sisters.” The criticism was not limited to the song itself. Old frustrations with both rappers came rushing into the conversation almost immediately.

That response is notable because the pairing has worked before. GloRilla and Sexyy Red teamed up on “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” from GLORIOUS in 2024, a Boosie-sampling collaboration that reached No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the album’s recognizable records. Their new preview reaches for similarly loose, rowdy energy, but some listeners are treating “Jiggly Bow Bow” as evidence that the formula is wearing thin rather than something they want repeated.

GloRilla is also arriving at this release with considerably more fan chatter attached to her than she had during the first collaboration. Her relationship with Megan Thee Stallion became the subject of speculation in 2025 after she reposted something that happened to include a Tory Lanez song. Given Lanez’s conviction, the post immediately raised eyebrows. GloRilla denied that she was taking a side and called it an innocent repost, and the two rappers later appeared to refollow each other. That did not stop listeners from revisiting the moment this summer when some interpreted lyrics on GloRilla and Pooh Shiesty’s “MANE” as shots at Megan.

The speculation carries extra weight because GloRilla and Megan were not casual acquaintances on wax. Megan brought her onto the Hot Girl Summer Tour in 2024, and their “Wanna Be” collaboration later added Cardi B for a remix. That history is now being folded into complaints from listeners who believe GloRilla damaged some of the goodwill she built during that run, even when the evidence behind an actual feud remains circumstantial.

On the other end, Sexyy Red brings her own set of arguments into nearly every release. Her blunt, sexually explicit club records have helped turn her into one of Rap’s most recognizable personalities, but that same approach has made her a frequent target for listeners who believe mainstream Rap has become overly dependent on deliberately crude hooks and viral moments. Politics have complicated that relationship further. She enthusiastically praised Donald Trump in 2023 and said she wanted him back in office. Questions about her MAGA ties resurfaced this year when she performed at the wedding of Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz alongside guests connected to the administration.

Put together, the response to “Jiggly Bow Bow” is less about two rappers unexpectedly making music together than two already polarizing figures hitting the same nerve at once. Some listeners clearly still want the kind of carefree record GloRilla and Sexyy Red have delivered successfully before, but the early conversation shows a sizable group questioning the sound before hearing a complete song. GloRilla has not announced an official release date for the collaboration, leaving the preview and the reaction to it as the only indication so far of whether “Jiggly Bow Bow” will actually become their next single.
