NLE Choppa is trying to focus on his personal journey after getting baptized, but rap feuds and old wounds continue to get in the way. He recently dissed Pooh Shiesty after Pooh's alleged leaked call calling him "gay," and also had shots for NBA YoungBoy to follow up on their long-running feud.
NLE recently gave a freestyle on Power 106 Los Angeles which included some bars about someone pillow-talking. In a subsequent Instagram Story post, the Memphis MC made it clear those bars were aimed at Shiesty.
"@poohshiesty showed way too much love to you for you to be pillow talking on my name TO A FEMALE," he wrote, as caught by DJ Akademiks on Instagram. "Imma show you how to be direct homie. Free you tho tell [Big] 30 hit me up."
Pooh had said, "On God, that n***a gay," and laughed at Choppa in the alleged leaked call. NLE Choppa's shown love to Pooh Shiesty before, so this came as a surprise to him. In an IG post caught by XXL on Instagram, Choppa called Shiesty out again and claimed he and YB have copied his style over the years.
NLE Choppa Calls Out Pooh Shiesty
"IM HYMM, The one they wanna be, the one they copy," he wrote. "N***as ain't have a Momager & Popager til I came on the scene. Shiesty That Chain Look real close to mine, YB ran off my camo aesthetic after I sent it to em. I'm the reason these boys of this generation wanna own they masters. 'I wanna NLE CHOPPA DEAL.' 16 I was 10Ms up first car was a Cullinan truck while yall was riding hemis & scats nshii man do yo homework on my influence. I can write a book about it but that's enough ego. Pleaseeeee don't copy my Wick Locs PLEASE. YB already ran off with my locs style. I had to switch it up this go round. All love though just shedding light on my influence."
NLE Choppa's dynamic with Pooh Shiesty is particularly interesting because the mother of Choppa's child, Marissa Da'Nae, is allegedly expecting a child with Shiesty. But this hasn't seen any official confirmation at press time.
As for NLE Choppa's beef with NBA YoungBoy, the two used to be collaborators before their dynamic went sour in recent years. We'll see if there are any responses here or if this call-out goes by without a peep out of its targets.
