Open Mike Eagle turns heartbreak into something much stranger on DOOMED!. Produced entirely by Kenny Segal, the 15-track album takes the end of a relationship and filters it through Mike's sharp humor, surreal storytelling and left-field approach to rap. The collaborators describe it as a "half-whimsical break-up album," which feels pretty fitting for a project where relationship problems become a trip through different worlds. It's also surprisingly their first full collaborative album despite nearly two decades of friendship and occasional work together. Billy Woods, Hemlock Ernst and Gothic Tropic make appearances, but Mike and Segal's chemistry remains at the center.
