Lil Durk's stay at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles has taken a turn, as on Friday, he was placed in solitary confinement, according to TMZ. This update comes from their source at the Bureau of Prisons, union secretary Jose Rojas.
As per TMZ's report, it was revealed that Durk has been subjected to continuous random searches in his cell. Authorities are allegedly trying to find contraband, such as cellphones. However, nothing has been found at this time.
Durk has been understandably frustrated by this. After one of these searches, Durk allegedly asked why he was being subjected to this kind of suspicion. According to TMZ, the deputy warden did not appreciate this and accused Durk of "talking back."
Lil Durk Searched Numerous Times
The Bureau of Prisons is currently not giving a reason why Durk was put into solitary confinement. Although they did give a generic statement to TMZ.
"For privacy, safety, and security reasons we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including housing assignments, potential disciplinary infractions, or internal security measures," the Bureau of Prisons explained in a statement.
The timing of this couldn't be any more head-turning given the fact that Lil Durk is set to have a bond hearing in two days. His hearing goes down on November 4, and he has received character statements from Jay-Z, J. Cole, and even Michael Rubin.
