The exact dynamic between Drake and Lil Yachty at this moment was unclear, and fans wondered if we would ever get a concrete answer.

Drake and Lil Yachty were some of each other's closest musical collaborators in the 2020s, as Her Loss, For All The Dogs, and their past friendship show. But since the Kendrick Lamar battle, the conversation around their dynamic has been much more about unconfirmed beef speculation. During Drizzy's Kick-livestreamed giveaway for Stake's ninth anniversary, he made some comments that DJ Akademiks and many others took as a sneak diss towards Yachty.

CY Chels caught Ak's stream reaction on Twitter. In the clip, the 6ix God talked about perhaps celebrating Stake's tenth anniversary "on a yacht... Even though I hate boats."

"That wasn't a sneak diss at Yachty, right?" Akademiks remarked. "This n***a said, 'Might be on a yacht, even though I hate boats.' Nah, nah, nah. That can't be a diss at Yachty. No, no, no, no, no, no."

As the commentator implied, no one can really know for sure if this is really a jab or if fans are just reading way too deeply into it. Maybe The Boy just gets seasick, for all we know. Still, it doesn't help that many other speculations about their dynamic have come to similar conclusions, even if neither artist has ever really planted their flag in opposition to the other.

Lil Yachty's Drake Comments

Rumors of Drake and Lil Yachty's supposed beef typically reignite due to the former's associations. For example, when Yachty popped out with A$AP Rocky, many fans saw this as proof of a rift, or a betrayal if things were never icy to begin with.

For those unaware, this all stems from Lil Boat commenting on the K.Dot battle during his podcast, with OVO fans criticizing him for playing both sides. But Drake and Lil Yachty have been cool in various moments since the battle, including a WWE pop-out and social media trolling.

So things are still very unclear, but it seems like beef might be a misleading interpretation of the OVO mogul's on-stream comments. Even if the "Another Late Night" duo is still tight, many fans continue to drive conflict for them. Hopefully they are in a place where they can ignore the speculation.
