Drake hosted a Kick livestream last night to give away $1 million for Stake's nine-year anniversary, and dissed Jay-Z, Roc Nation, and others.

Drake has been feuding with Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation all throughout the year, and it's the most contentious point in a contentious dynamic throughout the years. Now, things are more combative than they have ever been between them, and Drizzy wanted to make it clear during his Kick-livestreamed $1 million giveaway with Stake last night (Saturday, August 8) to celebrate the online casino's ninth anniversary.

He was specifically with BenDaDonnn when he made the Hov and Roc comment, which many fans have been debating about. "GGs, the Roc Nation subpoenas about to be cleared," the 6ix God expressed, as caught by Kurrco on Twitter. Both men laughed at the comment, which could relate to a few different things.

Of course, this is all speculative. But a lot of folks have been questioning Roc Nation's alleged ties to lawsuits against the OVO mogul as of late. They also believe the Roc has targeted other Young Money artists like Nicki Minaj and are actively trying to suppress them.

These theories and conspiracies on behalf of fans haven't been confirmed, but there's a narrative war at play here regardless. Both sides are levying similar accusations against one another, as made clear by the DJ Akademiks and Charlamagne Tha God dynamic.

Drake Disses Jay-Z

As for Drake's specific beef with Jay-Z, though, this follows years of subliminal disses, burying the hatchet with collaborations, and sending competitive shade each other's way. What was the final straw? Many fans believe it was the Kendrick Lamar battle, as Hov got K.Dot all the way to the Super Bowl through this run.

Jay-Z returned fire at Drake during his Roots Picnic freestyle earlier this year. It hadn't elicited a response until now, albeit an indirect one.

As for the alleged subpoenas The Boy referenced, maybe this is about legal moves against Roc Nation or predicting legal moves against the Toronto superstar. But no one has a clear answer.

In any case, the animosity definitely pierced through, and we wonder if there are more shots on the way in retaliation. But these two moguls are so on top of their game that they might let fans do the dirty work for them.
