J. Cole had previously stated that "The Fall-Off" would be his final album, but as it turns out, that is not happening.

When J. Cole was going through the rollout for The Fall-Off, he made it seem like retirement was inevitable. That this was going to be his last project, and you would never see him again after that.

However, it appears as though Cole has had a change of heart. After a successful album and an even more successful tour, Cole is revealing that he can never commit to calling it quits.

During a conversation with his mentor and music executive Mark Pitts, as well as GQ writer Frazier Tharpe, Cole revealed the truth behind retirement. While he is not committed to making another album, he knows the appetite to create will return eventually.

J. Cole Goes Back On Retirement

“After this tour right here? Come on man, this is crazy... When I was making that album, I was making it like, 'Damn, this is going to be my last sh*t.' Luckily, by the time I got to actually finishing the album, because of circumstances, I'm like, 'Nah, I'll never say I'm going to retire.' I don't know when the next thing is going to happen, but I'm definitely not going to say no," Cole revealed.

This is certainly good news for all of the J. Cole fans out there, who no longer have to worry about the possibility of him quitting music for good. That said, don't expect a new album anytime soon. You're still going to have to wait patiently for that.

Regardless, it is good to know that one of this generation's best artists is not calling it quits so soon. That would be tragic, especially as The Fall-Off proves he still has so much more to give.
