Malik Nabers just debuted one of the most interesting jackets of the fall. The New York Giants wide receiver stepped out in the Nigel Sylvester x Avirex Icon "Brick," and it was impossible to miss.
The jacket is a cream leather bomber, which is Avirex's signature style. It has ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem, and Nabers wore it open over a white tee and a chain. A red patch on the chest shows a brick pattern and the word "Brick," tying it to Nigel's world.
The best part is on the inside. The satin lining has a poem embroidered in red, signed by Nigel. It starts with a line about Grandma's Driveway and works through every chapter of his Jordan story.
Overall, it is a clever way to turn a jacket into a timeline. The poem moves from "Brick by Brick" to "Better With Time" and ends with "Brick After Brick." Each phrase matches one of his recent projects.
Avirex's label sits on the lining with its 1975 mark, a nod to the New York brand's roots. There are no official release details yet. We do not know the price, whether it is limited, or if it will be sold.
Nigel Sylvester x Avirex Icon “Brick”
Avirex is a New York original. The brand started in 1975 making military-style flight jackets, and it became a staple in hip-hop fashion in the 2000s. Nigel is also a New York original, so the partnership makes sense.
The Queens native has built his career on storytelling, and this jacket tells a story of its own. The Brick idea has grown over the last two years. "Brick by Brick" became one of the biggest Air Jordan 4 releases of 2025, and "Brick After Brick" followed in May.
Seeing an NFL player debut the jacket adds another layer. Football tunnel fits have turned into a big fashion platform, and Nabers made the most of it. Earlier this month, he also posted 11 catches for 121 yards in a tie with the Commanders.
Hopefully there is more to come. A drop like this could be the start of a larger Avirex capsule. For now, Nabers has given us a very good first look.
