Odell Beckham Jr.'s stint with the New York Giants has ended prematurely as the team just didn't want him anymore.

Odell Beckham Jr.'s reunion with the New York Giants is already over. After just three games with the team, he has been released and can now sign with whoever wants him.

Ever since his first stint with the Giants a decade ago, OBJ has bounced around the NFL quite a bit. Unfortunately, he has not been able to find a team that can help him recreate that early career success. In fact, such a team probably doesn't exist anymore. OBJ is older and just doesn't have the step that he used to.

In his three games with the New York Giants this season, OBJ had no statistics whatsoever. He just wasn't getting on the field, and the Giants did not have much use for him. With their quarterback issues, that became especially apparent.

Odell Beckham Jr. Is A Free Agent Again

Whether or not Odell Beckham Jr. ever gets another NFL opportunity still remains to be seen. However, after this recent stint in the league, it feels like that is pretty unlikely right now.

At the end of the day, Odell just isn't built like that anymore, regardless of how you swing it. A sorry team like the Giants couldn't even find a scheme for him. It's hard to imagine another team swooping in and changing his fortunes.

It's the sad reality of the NFL and professional sports as a whole. There are a lot of great players who eventually lose their spot, and there is nothing that they could have realistically done to stop it.

Only time will tell whether or not OBJ officially retires, or begins the process of advocating for a new signing.
