With the help of Brian Steel, Lil Durk did the impossible and beat the murder-for-hire charges laid against him last week. On Friday, a jury found Durk not guilty of all charges related to the murder of Lul Pab in Beverly Hills. And while most fans have been celebrating the legal victory, Pab’s mother seemingly wants to put this chapter behind her.
In a message shared on social media, Pab’s mother shared a brief message reacting to the verdict. “I’m not mad, sad, upset, or crying. I’m glad this is over!!!” she wrote, before adding, “Peace & Blessings… #LLPAB.”
Ultimately, it’s a message that emphasizes closure. Lul Pab was shot and killed in August 2022 in Beverly Hills. Prosecutors allege that Quando Rondo was the intended target of the shooting, which ultimately killed Pab.
Durk’s acquittal isn’t the end-all, be-all of the case, though. He’s currently facing another set of racketeering-related charges that claim the rapper is the head of a criminal organization the government calls Banks Gang Enterprise. The rapper is expected to stand trial for these charges on October 5th.
Lil Durk Found Not Guilty In Murder-For-Hire Case
This week, the rapper shared a message to the youth after his trial ended.
"To the youth, I need y’all to hear me," Durk said. "There were times in my life when I felt lost and couldn’t see beyond what was right in front of me. I know how deeply your environment and surroundings can influence the way you think, the choices you make, and what you believe is possible for your life, but they don’t have to determine who you become. Growth is real, and it’s never too late to choose a different direction."
We will keep you posted on any further updates surrounding the trial.
