Official images of the Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” have arrived, and they confirm the details fans were hoping for. The pair is set to release on November 7th for $215.
Nike’s website revealed the full image set. Most importantly, the heel carries “Nike Air” embroidery for the first time on this colorway since the original 1991 release.
The 2010 and 2014 retros used a Jumpman logo on the heel instead. That makes this version the closest one yet to the pair Michael Jordan wore in his first championship season.
Overall, the design stays classic. White leather covers the upper, and the usual perforations sit across the panels. Black appears on the heel spoiler and other details.
Red adds the final touch. It appears on the Jumpman and lace lock on the tongue, the inside of the heel spoiler, and parts of the midsole.
Underneath, a white midsole carries a visible Air unit in the heel. The outsole is black with translucent sections.
Sizing is available for the full family. Men’s pairs cost $215, and grade school pairs reportedly cost $155. Look for them on SNKRS and at select Jordan Brand retailers. The style code is CT8529-105.
Fans have debated the shade of red for years. This version lands in the middle, with a medium red that avoids the extremes.
Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared”
The Air Jordan 6 turns 35 this year, and the “White Infrared” is one of the key colorways from its first season. Michael Jordan wore it often during the 1991 regular season.
The shoe is also part of a big year for the Air Jordan 6. The “Reverse Infrared” arrived in February, and more anniversary pairs are on the way.
Jordan Brand has been paying close attention to OG details lately. The Nike Air heel here is the latest example, and fans have been asking for it for years.
We covered the Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” unboxing earlier this month. Now the official images show the full picture.
Overall, it is a strong return for one of the most important Air Jordan 6 colorways. It has been 12 years since the last release, so demand should be high.
