Lil Durk was acquitted of all counts in his murder-for-hire trial, which has led to celebration from hip-hop peers such as Young Thug. However, Thug also took advantage the moment on social media to diss OTF Jam (born Kacey Jerome Hester) and OTF Vonni (real name Kavon Grant). These were some of the witnesses for the prosecution in the trial who originally faced charges in the murder-for-hire case.
OTF Jam and OTF Vonni's cooperation with law enforcement caused a lot of controversy in the hip-hop world and beyond. While they claimed Durk organized and financed a hit on Quando Rondo that killed Lul Pab, the jury's verdict for Durk and his codefendants suggests they did not find their testimonies to prove the Chicago rapper's guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
Speaking of which, these codefendants (OTF Dede and Browneyez) will receive their sentence after Lil Durk's next trial wraps up. The jury found them guilty of the stalking charges, but not the murder-for-hire ones.
Back to Thugger, he took to his Instagram page to hope Jam and Vonni get significant jail time, specifically around 122 years. "44,537 days a piece #gamegod please," he captioned a post featuring pictures of the two. Some folks called Thug out for his criticism, as he infamously became the subject of snitching debates himself last year.
Lil Durk's Lawyer
Elsewhere, Young Thug's other comments on the Lil Durk trial have to do with Durk's defense attorney, Brian Steel. For those unaware, the lawyer is the man who represented Jeffery in the YSL RICO case, which ended with Thug walking away a free man with release conditions.
Steel is now "three-for-three" in many hip-hop fans' minds, as he also represented Diddy in his federal case and helped acquit the mogul of the more serious charges against him. But Thugger believes he also deserves credit for Smurk's verdict, or at least, that's what he suggested on Twitter.
"Thank me later," he wrote, later adding two more tweets: "Tell smurk to say something if I’m lying #Freesmurkio" and "I didn’t have to pay lol Brian does whatever I say on face asksmurk."
We will see what becomes of OTF Jam and OTF Vonni after this trial. Elsewhere, Lil Durk's trial on racketeering-related charges will begin on October 5 of this year, if everything goes according to the current schedule.
