A middleweight title fight is waiting for Claressa Shields this weekend, but part of her week has been consumed by a very different opponent online. The undefeated boxing champion responded after Victoria “BroRilla” Woods went after her appearance and argued that Shields would never look better than Remy Ma.
BroRilla, GloRilla’s sister, took aim at Shields in a series of videos, calling her irritating and questioning why she spends so much time responding to criticism. She also compared Shields to Serena Williams before bringing Remy into the conversation. The Remy Ma reference carries its own history given Shields’ public relationship with Papoose, whose split from Remy has played out publicly for years.
Shields eventually answered during a livestream and did not try to keep the exchange friendly. She called BroRilla a “clout chaser” and fired back with insults about her appearance. At one point, she questioned whether BroRilla had established an identity outside of being related to GloRilla.
“B*tch, I got my fight in two days. Nobody gives a f*ck if I look good or pretty to you,” said Shields. “You using your sister n*gga, we know GloRilla. You BroRilla cause you GloRilla sister. You don’t even have a f*cking name.”

BroRilla Isn't Looking For A Physical Fight
Moreover, Shields was willing to entertain the feud long enough to threaten an actual confrontation. After BroRilla suggested she would call the police if Shields tried to fight her, Shields joked that she would be gone before officers arrived. She also said she was willing to travel to Memphis to settle their issues in person.
BroRilla’s criticism appeared to be aimed at more than Shields’ appearance. She argued that a successful athlete in Shields’ position should not feel compelled to answer every negative comment circulating online. Shields, however, has rarely built her public persona around staying quiet. Her confidence outside the ring has often been nearly as visible as the résumé she has built inside it.
