Dame Dash has been dealing with financial woes as of late, as he filed for bankruptcy last year. But he believes some media outlets and figures are only showing the negative parts of this development. Dame recently called out Loren LoRosa on social media for reporting on a trustee investigating this bankruptcy case.
Per The Breakfast Club's cohost's report on Twitter, the trustee filed documents requesting permission to sell his life rights. This would include the Roc-A-Fella executive's voice, image, likeness, biography, and identifying characteristics. It also includes the right to portray his life story from childhood through the date of the petition. Legal documents reportedly show these rights could be auctioned and would include exclusive, worldwide rights to commercialize this life story in perpetuity.
Also, the trustee's last filing reportedly expressed doubt in Dash actually being bankrupt. The trustee reportedly believes Dame Dash is developing a Roc-A-Fella documentary via over 100 hours of video footage, pictures, memorabilia, and more. It points to this alleged archival material as related to his life rights.
Dame Dash Responds To Loren LoRosa
In a clip caught by 2Cool2Blog on Twitter, Dame called LoRosa out for this reporting. "They said they won’t let me go bankrupt. They don’t believe it,” he expressed. “No one reported that... But what The Breakfast Club did report was when I asked my daughter for some money, and now they’re reporting whatever bulls**t is going with bankruptcy. I just feel like y’all make it too obvious. Why don’t you ever talk about any of the good stuff? Are you guys trying to line me up?”
“Am I broke or am I not broke?” he went on. “Bad people are always going to try to make good people look like they're not doing the right thing. But why are you the voice of everything bad and nothing good, Loren? You're a Black woman. Why would you want to amplify bad stuff for Black people but not amplify anything good for this Black man? [...] Either way, I'm hustling."
