Not only did the Memphis MC drop his new album All Eyes On Shiest, but he also addressed fans in his first public spoken message since his arrest.
"You know this s**t still going on," he remarked, as caught by No Jumper on Instagram. "We still putting on like cologne, man... This is the one that's bigger than the program. Ain't s**t changed but the environment. We got new music on the way. This s**t for the fans, this s**t for everybody who been waiting... I don't give a f**k about what no n***a got to say, what no n***a think they know what's going on... I'ma shake back. It ain't about how you trip up or how you stumble or how you fall. It's always how you get back up. You know everybody can't get back up... I'll be back in a minute... Run this s**t up, get us to number one. We got more s**t in store..."
Why Did Gucci Mane Drop Pooh Shiesty's Album?
In the wake of this message and AEOS, a lot of folks have been speculating about Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane's dynamic. After all, this release emerged under 1017 Records, the label Shiesty allegedly forced Gucci to release him from. So a lot of folks are wondering if the Atlanta icon approved of this release and vice versa.
At the end of the day, many fans see it as a mutually beneficial move. Mane can make some money off of the drop, and Pooh gets some income for his legal woes. Maybe there will be more explanations in the future.
One thing is clear, though: Pooh Shiesty isn't keeping his messages to just public addresses online.
