Drake and Kendrick Lamar could be starring in an upcoming David Ayer movie.

In a movie landscape that has been all Star Wars over the past week, a new kind of feature film is set to take Netflix by storm this week. Bright, which stars Will Smith, is another movie from director David Ayer that leans heavily on a hip-hop soundtrack. Future, Migos, Meek Mill, YG, Snoop Dogg, Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky, Logic and Machine Gun Kelly are just some of the names gracing the soundtrack and, if Ayer has his way, some of the world's biggest rappers will soon be major cast members in his films as well.

Speaking with Rap-Up, the Training Day veteran admitted that he has eyes on two of hip-hop's best as potential stars for some upcoming projects. The director said he really wants to work with Kendrick Lamar because he's "got a real presence." With little to no previous acting experience, save for his appearances in music videos, there's little doubt that Lamar could overcome this and be a really interesting addition to the cast of an upcoming movie, especially something gritty like the work Ayer is known for churning out.

To that end, the filmmaker said he's also interested in working with Drake on an upcoming project, which fits right into the rapper's wheelhouse at the moment. The Canadian music icon is supposedly looking to delve deeper into the movie and TV business, including bringing the series Top Boy back online in the near future.

Which rapper would make a better big screen leading man - Drake or Kendrick Lamar? Let us know in the comments.
