Why we like Shemy:

If there is one way to describe Shemy's music, it's a real flow with real lyrics, and that may be why he advanced so far in Heatseekers. He spits about some real-life shit that he's going through, making him a relatable rapper. He's not afraid to share with you just what he's looking for, so listen up and get acquainted with Shemy.

Artist Bio:

Nicholas Shemes aka Shemy was born February 11th, 1990 at St. Jospeh Hospital in Flint, MI. Shemy gained notoriety in 2005 when he released his single "She Got Ass featuring fellow Flint native, Billy Smokes. The record was broke on WKUF 94.3 via Kettering University. The single was brought to the attention of Jazze Phas father and original Barkay member, James Alexander. James Alexander and business partner Larry Dobson flew up to Flint from Tennessee to negotiate a deal with Shemy. Although the deal "fell through in 2006", Shemy went on to record a debut album in 2008 with the guidance of legendary engineer/producer Bernard Terry. In 2009 he inked a distribution deal with KRD/E1 Ent. (formerly Koch) for his debut album "Look At What I Came From". In August of 2011 Shemy's Official PANDORA Radio station went live. He has been invited to be a part of career day at Southwestern High School, and Northwestern High School in Flint, MI. MTV made coach Jeff Yalden currently uses one of Shemy's songs at assemblies in high schools around the world.

Why we like Brickz Amilion:

Although there aren't many rappers who have made it big from North Carolina aside from J.Cole, Brickz Amilion vows to do it, and he might just have the potential and drive to follow through. He gives us a street-sound with lyrics that match his style, far different from his hometown hero but bumping nonetheless.

Why we like Jae Apollo:

A lyricists rapper, this Brooklyn born emcee has the charisma and rhyming ability to rock an audience while he’s rocking the mic.  As at home on a thumping club-friendly track as he is on smoothed out joints, Jae Apollo can crush a mic and then drop catchy hooks.  With his EP All The Right Mistakes already under his belt, and more projects in the works, look for this 21 year old BK talent to make his mark on the charts soon.

Artist Bio:

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jae Apollo grew to have a passion for music. Many have compared his music and style to fellow Brooklyn born rapper Jay-Z, widely known as the greatest rapper alive. Ourstage.com wrote "Like Jay-Z, Jae Apollo shares a similar attention to detail in his flows" in their article "Jae Apollo vs Jay-Z". Since the start of his music career he has been known for his witty punch lines and creative flows that captivate his listeners, and turn them in to loyal fans. His first release in June 2011 "A Night at the Apollo" was just the beginning for this unique artist. Showing his true colors and holding nothing back he followed up with his recently released EP "All the right Mistakes" in July 2012. Reflecting on his 21 years of life, Jae put his heart into making this album true to himself. "It’s an introspective and clever record with a lot of potential, and I haven’t been this impressed with a rapper for a long time" writes hiphoplifeandtimes.com. Jae's philosophy is "Music, in my opinion, is everything. It has the unique ability to withstand the test of time and live forever. And thats what I want for my music." With a vision like that, the possibilities are endless. Get ready for the meteoric rise of Jae Apollo. Visit his official website ManontheBrink.com

Why we like J Buzzi:

J Buzzi is one of those rappers that “jump” on a track.  When he explodes onto a record with his flow, the listener can’t help but sit and take notice.  His passion is nearly palpable, and his love for music can be felt.  At first listen he seems to be a rapper suited only for hard club-friendly bangers, but a further listen into this emcees repertoire of songs, makes it clear that he has a diverse style.  Check out his music below, and ‘Get Ready’ to become an instant fan.

Artist Bio:

Growth is defined as the development from a simple to a more complex stage. Before Justin Buzzi started his music career, he was a kid growing up in Jensen Beach, Florida, with many hopes and dreams. While many young kids lose their dreams along the way, Justin's dreams of becoming a music artist grew as he became more familiar with the music industry. Justin took a bold step, which is something that many people fail to do. He looked into himself and believed that he had something to offer in the form of music, which can be seen through his heart and determination. Though his journey is just beginning, he has already been through many steps that have aided him in his maturation as a person and as a rapper. Justin prides himself on his unique standing in music and his efforts to roll his sleeves up and put hard work into whatever may come. After he started recording with inexpensive equipment, he has transitioned from an amateur to someone who has music professionally mastered. Justin's hard work has paid off. He has released several cd's and mixtapes, while his single "Far Away" has been debuted on the radio in South Florida and can also be purchased on iTunes. Through his journey, and certainly as he continues to grow, he intends to "write the future." While work always needs to be done, some are starting to take notice of Justin's talent. A talent advisor at a reputable label reviewed one of Justin's songs and recognized how his music is exploding with "passion," signifying that with continued dedication, he is in "control of [his] situation and destiny."
