“I am the struggle. I am the hustle. I am the city. I’m the pot in the kitchen.” Yo Gotti raps on the title track of his latest album, I Am. The self-proclaimed king of Memphis has been involved in the trap game for a while now, and he has much to share, telling stories through out his new album, I Am. Gotti‘s strong southern influence is clearly shown throughout the 13-track project. There’s just as much soul as there is swagger, a combination that keeps listeners intrigued.

DJ Khaled has been behind some of the hottest records of the last few years and if there's one thing he's made consistently clear it's that he has a winning formula for hits. This is also his greatest fault. It's never been so clear how one dimensional DJ Khaled's music really is than here on Suffering From Success, the DJ's seventh studio album.

Meek Mill has been through hell and back. He’s only 26-years-old but on the streets, age-wise that makes him a veteran. After grinding on the streets (and a brief jail stint), Meek took that same hustle and energy and applied it to the studio booth.

Mmmmaybach music. The heaviest group in hip-hop presents the third volume of their Self Made album series. Formulaically, the self-proclaimed untouchable Maybach empire haven't missed a step. Likewise previous installments in the series, Self Made Vol. 3 is packed with speaker-knocking beats driven by Rozay and company. Little new is brought to the table, but that doesn't mean the double-M G crew isn't still eating.

There's quite a bit of repetition in the game these days, and specific bars are often overlooked (with the exception of Meek Mill and Cassidy diss records). Keep in mind, these are the most noteworthy lyrics of the week, not necessarily the best. Also, it's hard to get everything right - if you notice any errors, don't hesitate to let us know in the comments section. Lines we're not quite sure about will be bolded.
