#TBT: Birdman's Early Singles
Before all of the bad press, the head tattoos, and the kiss with Lil Wayne, Birdman was just Bryan Williams. Born in New Orleans in 1969, the rapper first made waves in the mainstream with Mannie Fresh as the duo Big Tymers.

Biggest Beefs Of 2015

Lil Wayne Is Apparently Being Sued By His Lawyers For "Birdman-Like" Conduct

Lil Wayne Previews "Murda" Video, Off "FWA"
Many fans enjoyed Lil Wayne's latest album, FWA, more than the two mixtapes he released this year. The album, however, only included one single, "Glory," and it was released exclusively on TIDAL, which likely significantly lessened its overall exposure. Weezy fans, and those still fighting for the rapper's freedom, though, will be happy to know that Wayne is planning to drop the video to "Murda," the FWA cut that features Capo, Cory Gunz, and reggae legend Junior Reid.
Pusha T Calls Birdman "The Lowest Form Of A Thief"
For much of the year, the biggest names in rap chose to stay quiet on the unfolding drama between Lil Wayne and Birdman. Last week, Rick Ross revealed his discontent at the way Birdman has been treating Weezy on The Breakfast Club, and now Pusha T has confirmed that he, too, doesn't respect the Cash Money boss.

Classic Rotation: Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter II"
OutKast's "Best New Rap Group" acceptance speech at the 1995 Source Awards has been cited again and again as the turning point for Southern Rap, the moment when it became viewed as more than a novelty and began its gradual game of catch-up to the East and West Coasts. The South, as André 3000 famously announced, did "have something to say," but without one nationally-recognized lyrical genius, it struggled to achieve widespread respect.

Review: Lil Wayne's "No Ceilings 2"
After announcing his retirement via a poem the other night, Kobe Bryant took the court to face the Indiana Pacers for the second-to-last time in his career. No Ceilings 2 was always going to be stacked up to the first one. The classic 2009 tape is often regarded as Lil Wayne's last great project, with each album and mixtape since falling below the bar he set with his classic run of releases in the late '00s.
