The Weeknd has been announced as the festival's final headliner.

The Weeknd is slated to have a big opening week in terms of streaming numbers and sales for his surprise EP My Dear Melancholy, already achieving huge success with "Call Out My Name" on Spotify. The Canadian singer has reached tremendous heights throughout his career, hitting his stride and continuing to impress his fans. Previously announced to be headlining at Coachella, The Weeknd will likely perform a mix of his biggest hits, as well as some tracks from the recent drop. On top of his upcoming Coachella appearance, Abel has also been slated to drop in at Milwaukee's Summerfest in July as a headliner.

Big names across the music industry have already been announced for the gig, including J. Cole and Logic. The Weeknd will bring his voice to Milwaukee for the first time in his career as he headlines the July 7 date of Summerfest. The event boasts a gigantic line-up of over 800 artists, 1000 performances, and 11 stages, widely touted as “The World’s Largest Music Festival.” The Weeknd is sure to bring an even greater crowd to the festival than they were already expecting as he draws fans across several musical genres.

If the singer does not interest you enough to buy tickets, the festival is also advertising a "special guest" alongside Abel and it is anybody's guess who they could be referring to. Tickets will be available for the July 7 date later today. For more information on The Weeknd's set, click here.
