The rapper is being praised for his prolific work ethic.

Lil Uzi Vert is a well-known workaholic, spending a endless amount of time in the studio working on a steady stream of material. Last month, during this year's Grammy awards, the rapper admitted that he had worked on a bounty of songs with Kanye West during one particular studio session. Hip-hop producer Don Cannon reinstated Lil Uzi's claims by giving some insight into the "Bad and Boujee" hitmaker's extraordinary work effort.

Speaking with Ed Lover during an interview on the "C'Mon Son" podcast, Cannon recounts his initial impression of the rapper when meeting and working together for the first time. Cannon admits that "I saw his work ethic, and I was like damn, these are all the qualities we need," noting how Lil Uzi can complete about "six songs a day. About 700 songs a year."

Cannon continues to label the rapper "a studio rat. You would think somebody that is performing and out there as much as he is, he wouldn't be in the room as much. He does not leave that space. He beats me in that space."

The producer also reveals how Lil Uzi has an uncompromising idea of the type of musician he wishes to become. Cannon notes how "he would play me a record and it would be straight rap. Like Meek Mill. And I would be like, 'Wait, what's going on?' He's like, 'Yeah, that's boring. I don't like that. Watch, I'm going to turn into a complete rockstar. I've got a whole vision laid out."
