Chloe's album sold far fewer copies than the singer had hoped.

Chloe Bailey's album sales are probably not what she or her label had hoped for. The singer is currently signed to Parkwood, Beyoncé's imprint label. The album, titled In Pieces, is her first full-length solo effort. Previously, she released music with her sister Halle. The two performed together under the moniker "Chloe x Halle." However, performing solo is proving to be difficult for Chloe. She has to shoulder any negative press or bad numbers alone. It seems like those two things have been the defining features of her solo music career thus far. However, some are jumping to her defense.

Internet personality and comedian Druski is speaking out to defend Chloe. TMZ caught up with him as he was out and about in New York. In the interview, they asked him about what he thought of Chloe's low sales. He simply told her to keep her head up and remember that her sales are much higher than others. As kind as his words are, they likely don't make the sting of debuting at #119 go away.

Chloe Disappoints With First Solo Outing

Chloe first announced that her album was complete via Twitter last year. Then, in January of this year, she began releasing promotional singles. In February, she received quite a bit of flack for releasing a song featuring Chris Brown. Fans were quick to call her out for working with a confirmed abuser. This wasn't the only thing upsetting her supporters, though. They were also shocked by the singer's extremely graphic sex scene in the Donald Glover-helmed Amazon series, Swarm. However, Chloe brushed off the criticism in both cases.

It is unclear what caused the poor sales. One could theorize that Chloe's cavalier attitude toward criticism had something to do with it. Saying that any criticism is coming from haters is not really a good look. Neither is telling people who call you out for working with an abuser to kiss your butt.
